There are many moments in a parents life. Moments of joy and happiness. Moments of sadness and failure. Moments of regrets and frustrations. Moments of battles won and lost. Proud moments. My prayer as a parent for my children is that they would grow up to know and serve the Lord and have a deep desire to walk in the light. That they would be kept from the sin of this world and that they would do what is pleasing unto the Lord. That would make me so happy. But today was a proud parent moment.
A few days ago I was approached and asked if my two older daughters would like to sing at The Mount (which is a senior's home) for an Easter concert/meeting. I said I would ask them but that they do have a mind of their own and if they say they don't want to sing then there is a pretty good chance they won't.
So, I asked and Galilee's reply was, "I guess I could do that." I was mildly shocked.
We travelled into town. I was a bit nervous because if she decided not to sing, there was no chance of Petra singing which meant we drove all the way into town for nothing. Petra fell asleep in the car and if you have to wake her up she is usually a bear. So I was nervous. But, everything fell into place.
They got up and sang beautifully (I think). The elderly congregation loved it. Myself and others had tears of joy.
I hope that this is a blessing to you and maybe would lift your spirits today. Jesus loves the little children. How precious they are in His sight. He loves you and He loves me - the Bible tells me so!
