It seems that with 4 children, each one tends to keep you really busy with their needs and appointments for this and that. But, it's so fun to watch them grow up and learn more about each one of them. They are all so different.
But, with all the happenings of every day life and making sure everyone gets to where they need to be, it's hard to get things done. Then you put those things off and they just never get done. What am I talking about? My windows. My oven. My stairs. My chairs. My....I could go on but I won't. Enter MOM. Actually SUPERMOM! Yes, I've hired my amazing mother to come down to clean parts of my home. You know, those things that you sooooo long to have done. You may look at it everyday and say, "I should clean that." But you just can't get to it with all the kids. So, I decided that I needed a few things done. My mom is coming to babysit my children so my husband and I can go out for the evening and while she is doing this, she is going to take some of those items off my to do list.
The needs of 4 children. Note to self: if you have all of your children born in the same month/within 2 weeks of each other, the annual events add up. Pictures, birthdays, needles, doctor check ups, the list goes on...and on.
Titus recently had an appointment with the paediatrician last week for his heart murmur. He did great. He had to go for an ECG. He had fun picking all the sticky things off his chest, chewing them off his arm etc. The outcome was that he may have a small hole in his heart between the chambers. This is nothing to be concerned about yet. Sometimes these holes close and sometimes they don't, so he will be checked again in a year or year and a half to see if the murmur is still there. If it is, more testing will be done and our options will be given at that time. He can continue on with a normal life of energetic activities! PTL! Don't freak out - do you think I would take all 4 children to this appointment without some help?
Enter MOM! My mom came to help me out for the day!
We also got his 1 year pictures done......so precious! He has stolen my heart. He has taken a few steps AND he has some new words including Mama, Dada, Nana, Up, Ah Da (all done), and Peppa. He also gives kisses and has just starting blowing kisses. Couldn't be prouder!
Galilee has started soccer. Last night was her second night. She loves it and she is pretty good at it too. Most kids her age are either not listening to the coach, crying to their parents, kicking the balls to where they shouldn't be etc. Don't get me wrong, Galilee does this at times too, but she does really well the majority of the time. She is usually the first one down the field. Last night she got her soccer team shirt which she is SO proud of! I'll have to post a pic of the new shirt next week :) She plays once a week. The whole family goes to cheer her on. We thought she would be shy and she is at times but she absolutely loves it and opens up a little bit!
Galilee recently got her 4 year needles as well. She was such a big girl - she didn't even cry! We made a special date day out of it. She needs speech therapy to correct her lisp - which I think is adorable!
We got Galilee's yearly picture done. She was quite shy with the lady but she did well.
Petra recently had a doctor's appointment as well. Her check up was a follow up to see if she's growing properly. She is! We also made a date day out of it. She absolutely loves the park so we went to one (and she was soooo excited she had a dribble -eep!) and then for a special lunch. She was anxious to get home to make sure the rest of the family was ok. We also recently got her pictures done. She was such a model - crazy! I'll post a pic when I get them back.
Now, this little gem is just a perfect little baby - minus the puking! Adaya is such a great baby. She sleeps all the time. She is sleeping about 7-7 1/2 hours at night too - just what Mama needs! Just recently, we started napping her upstairs - I guess the other kids are too noisy for her! We drag her to the park, to the soccer field, out and about for appointments and she just snoozes...and eats.....and then pukes :) Behold our beauty!
This is the sleeper that I crammed her in (yes - CRAMMED) because I just can't believe she is growing out of her NB clothes already :(
Yes, life is busy. So I don't get the laundry done or the dishes done by supper time or the floors scrubbed...we won't say how long before it does get done - haha :) (all these things and more bother me immensely) and so everything doesn't always fit exactly into my perfect little schedule that I have created and sometimes things come up and the children distract me from all the things I have to do everyday...BUT with everything that happens in the day....the yelling, crying, screaming, laughing, hugging, kissing, cuddling, fun times, and sad times, I look at these next pictures and feel extremely blessed that God has given me the gift of family to love. He has given them to me to take care of. To love them. To guide, correct, and instruct them. I pray that I raise my family in the admonition of the Lord - always trying to point them to Christ.
Here are a few photos of the beautiful people in my life.
Thanks to Debbie Panton for taking the pics!
All in all, I love my days with my family!
